A survey to identify the need for discounted home ownership in Richmondshire is underway.
As part of a review of the District’s future housing need the District Council is asking householders to help the authority understand the price people can afford to pay for a home.
The survey will ascertain the level of demand for homes sold at discount – either under the market value or through other discounted methods; and the desired locations for them.
The review is needed to inform the revision of housing policies in the Council’s Local Development Plan – for the towns and villages outside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Householders living and working in the District – or with close family connections to Richmondshire – will be asked to take part.
It closes on July 15.
