Police have issued an appeal after two men were seen acting suspiciously in Catterick Village.
The incident happened in the early hours of Friday in the Brough Meadows area.
Two males, both with their faces covered, approached the front door of a property.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “On this occasion the males have both run away but we are appealing for any information regarding suspicious activity in the area over the past few days.

“Please remember always to keep your property and vehicles secure and report anything suspicious to North Yorkshire Police.”
