The Swaledale Festival has launched with the opening of art exhibition at The Station in Richmond.
The exhibition, titled Talk of the Land: Ancient Sound Waves, features work by students from Risedale School in Catterick Garrison who have explored the stream of consciousness provoked by sounds and words from the Yorkshire Dales together with artists Rachel Antill and Patrick Green.
Richmond MP Rishi Sunak attended the launch on Friday to congratulate the young artists on their achievement.
The exhibition runs till June 7 at the Mezzanine gallery at The Station. Admission is free.
