Swaledale festival to run free puppetry workshop for children

The renowned Lempen Puppet Theatre Company will run a series of free puppetry workshops for children as part of the Swaledale Festival.

The workshops will give children the chance to assemble a puppet from everyday materials.

The students will then share their creations in a unique Puppet Talent Show on May 28 to the audience gathered for a screening of Wallace and Gromit.

The workshops will take place at the Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn on Sunday, May and Sunday, May 21.

They are suitable for children from years five to nine.
