Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team called to help injured walker

Volunteers from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called to help an injured walker at the weekend.

The hiker was walking on the Pennine Way above Muker on Sunday.

They were treated at the scene by the team doctor and medics, then by an ambulance crews after being evacuated by the team to Muker.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance also attended although was not needed,#.

The incident was the team’s 29th call-out of the year.
