Swaledale road reopens after repairs to wall

A Swaledale road has reopened following repairs to a retaining wall.

The B6270, between Muker and Thwaite, has been shut for several months for the work to be carried out.

Local and visitors have faced lengthy diversions during the closure.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Council said: “The B6270 west of Muker has reopened following the full rebuild of a damaged retaining wall.

“Thank you for your patience during the work.”
