Richmond Dales Amateur Swimming Club is offering two opportunities for young swimmers to improve their swimming or swim competitively.
The Inspire to Swim programme is for young swimmers aged eight and older and who have reached stage five or above, to attend a ten-week training course to develop their swimming.
The programme gives swimmers a taste of competitive swimming training, at the same time building water confidence and stroke technique.
Coached by Swim England qualified and experienced coaches, the hour session develops all four competitive strokes, improving fitness and well being, as well as learning information about nutrition and hydration.
The course costs £30 for the ten-week training course, which includes a course t-Shirt and drinks bottle.
There is the potential to join the club at the end of the programme.
The next course starts in January.
The Club Trial offers the opportunity to join one of the club’s squads for a training session while being assessed for technical ability.
If successful, the swimmer can join the club.
A club spokesperson said: “So, if you have a budding Olympian who like to develop their skills or start to train with a successful and friendly club, we would like to hear from you.
“Please contact admin@rdasc.org.uk stating your preference (Inspire to Swim or Club Trial) and one of our RDASC staff will discuss the options available.”
