Swinifest 2022 declared a success with £510 raised for charity

Organisers of Swinifest 2022, which took place in Swinithwaite on Sunday, August 28, say the event was a big success.

The event was run by Fairhurst’s which run berry’s Farm Shop and Cafe.

Guy Fairhurst said: “It’s been just over a week since Swinifest and we are reflecting on the event and still blown away by the local support we had.

“Their is still a massive buzz around about the place and the success of this year meant it was definitely the best one yet.

“Plans for Swinifest 23 have already started and we can’t wait to bring you some fantastic acts.”

The event raised £510 for charities Myeloma UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, and The Trinity Holistic Centre at the Friarage Hospital, in support of Rob Bartlett, owner of Leyburn’s Fitness4All Gym, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Myeloma (bone marrow cancer).

If anyone would still like to support the charities there will be a quiz night at the Wensleydale Rugby Club this Saturday from 7pm.

Teams of up to six are welcome to enter.

Tickets cost £10 including supper.
