A tea party taking place in Richmond next month will raise money for the charity Guide Dogs.

The event will take place at the Town Hall on June 1 from 10am to 12noon.

Nicola Ridgway, Guide Dogs community fundraising relationship manager, said “It costs £55,000 to support a guide dog from birth to retirement.

“The annual tea parties, which are going on up and down the country during May, play a major part in raising the vital funds needed to breed every single guide dog.

“A donation as small as £8 will support a working guide dog for one day. Every cuppa counts!

“As well as helping us to raise vital funds, you will be able to find out more about the work of Guide Dogs and meet some local guide dog owners and volunteers.”
