Teenager arrested after another boy suffers knife wound in Catterick Garrison

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after another young person suffered a knife wound in an incident in Catterick Garrison last night.

Police have made an appeal for information after the incident in the town’s Ainse Road.

Inspector Mark Gee, from Richmondshire Neighbourhood Policing Team, said officer were called to the incident at around 9pm last night.

“Police responded to reports of a group of young people fighting in Aisne Road.

“During the incident a 14-year-old boy suffered a non-life threatening knife wound to their leg.

“A 14-year-old boy was subsequently arrested and remains in custody for questioning.

“We would appeal for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.”
