Temporary Covid-19 testing centre comes to Richmond

A temporary Covid-19 testing station will operate in Richmond over the next three days.

As part of the national roll out of the key worker and priority testing for COVID–19, the military run drive-through mobile testing units will be operating in the town’s Round Howe car park.

It wioll be there from Thursday until Saturday this week.

Eligible key workers and those prioritised for testing must register for a self-referral test on the Government website here.

  1. That is great for those who need testing in that 3 day window.
    Do we know if there are plans for this to become a longer term testing site for those of us key workers who might fall ill outside of this 3 day window?

  2. the intent is that the mobile test units will operate throughout North Yorkshire on a demand basis as supplied by the Local Resilience Forum and ‘should’ at some time in the future be at a location near to Richmond again. Please check the Government website for eligibility and where these units will be sited and when. Stay safe please.
