A ten-year-old has raised more than £600 towards a new roof for his school.
William Hobson completed a sponsored walk on Saturday around Scorton Lakes.
The money raised will help Bolton-On-Swale St Mary’s Primary School replace its roof.
Mum Laura said: “William is so grateful for all of his sponsorship.
“His favourite place is Scorton Lakes and he was so proud to show his headteacher the views and wildlife.”
The school community needs to raise £10,000 towards the cost of replacing the roof with the remainder of the money coming from the Department for Education and the Diocese of Leeds.
