Tennants in Leyburn are taking the first steps to re-opening the Garden Rooms with the launch of a new takeaway service.

The venue is running a fish and chips ‘click and collect’ service from 4pm to 7pm this Friday and the following Friday.

Food is available to order online and then collect kerbside at your chosen time.

Tennants Auctioneers opened for valuations and viewings by appointment earlier this week, and public auction viewing will begin again on June 24 for the next antiques and interiors sale, which takes place on Friday, June 26, followed by a jewellery, watches and silver sale on Saturday, June 27.

To coincide with the viewing next Wednesday. June 24, the venue will be offering an expanded take away service from their café, offering homemade soup, sandwiches and fish and chips, as well as drinks and a selection of freshly baked cakes and scones.

From Monday, June 29, the takeaway service will then be open for auction clients and visitors alike Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and on sale day Saturdays from 8am to 2pm, until full re-opening is permitted.

Tennants director Paul Freeman said: “We are delighted to be taking the first small steps to welcoming visitors back to The Garden Rooms at Tennants, and our ‘click and collect’ Friday fish takeaway is one of a number of online offerings we have developed to adapt and expand our services.

“We have also launched an online gift shop, offering a selection of the wonderful products we stock, which will continue to expand over the coming weeks.

“We hope that developing our online facilities long term will give greater flexibility and service to all our customers.”
