The Station in Richmond announces packed Christmas programme

The Station in Richmond has announced its Christmas programme with activities and events planned right up until the big day.

Live music, crafts, Christmas shopping, activity trails and a chance to meet Santa are just some of the events planned at the venue over the next month.

Chris Brown, chief executive of the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust (RBPT), which own and operate The Station said: “Christmas is the perfect time of year to celebrate with family and friends at The Station.

“Our Christmas line up is our biggest yet, and with something for everyone to enjoy, our events are guaranteed to get you feeling festive.”

Children can meet Father Christmas in The Present Sorting Office at The Station on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December, and the 15th, 16th, and 17th December.

Families can also have a go at The Christmas Chocolate Factory Activity Trail at The Station, with competitions and prizes to be won, available at The Station Shop every day between 10am and 4pm, from Friday 1st December.

Throughout December visitors to The Station will be able to find the perfect present at The Station Shop, The Angel’s Share Bakery, The Sweet Stop (the latest independent business to join The Station), Goosewing Studio, and Brewstation Richmond, as well as browsing a selection of handpicked stalls selling unique gifts, art, and local produce at three special Christmas Fairs – Handmade Christmas Fair (Saturday 2nd), Vintage Christmas Fair (Saturday 9th), and Christmas Food and Drink Fair (Saturday 16th).

On Sunday 3rd December, The Station will host three Christmas Wreath Workshops, where visitors can make a beautiful natural door wreath with local florist Heather Roberts, and on Saturday 9th December, visitors can join a Felt Christmas Bauble Workshop, with Blue Mouse Art, to make their own felt decorations.

And for those who fancy trying something a little different, Forage Box will be running a special Festive Foraging Workshop on Saturday 23rd December.

The Station Café | Bar will be serving a two and three course Christmas Menu from Friday 1st December to Friday 22nd December, as well as Festive Afternoon Tea, which will be available Friday – Sunday from Friday 1st December.

December also sees the return of The Station Café | Bar’s popular Christmas Jazz Nights, with tickets still available for Friday 8th December.

On Saturday 23rd December, visitors can enjoy a very special evening at The Station Cafe | Bar, to enjoy a delicious two course meal, soak up the festive atmosphere, and prepare for the arrival of a very special guest, at Supper with Santa.

Throughout December there will also be festive films including screenings of Home Alone, Love Actually, Elf, The Polar Express, and It’s a Wonderful Life at The Station Cinema, as well as live music from Reeth Brass Band, on Sunday 17th December.
