Visitors to The Station in Richmond will have the chance to meet therapy dogs as part of a special Easter week event.

Volunteers from Jack and Pals Therapy Dogs will be at the venue on Monday, March 30, between 10am and 3pm, giving members of the public the opportunity to meet and pet the dogs.

As well as spending time with the animals, visitors can learn more about what makes a good therapy dog and how to get involved with the organisation.

The event will also include a fundraising raffle, with prizes for both people and pets. These include homemade natural dog treats from Falkor’s Fancies, items from The Great Outpaws, as well as Easter eggs.

Founder and volunteer Wendy Withington said she was looking forward to the event.

She said: “We are delighted to have the chance to show off our therapy dogs at The Station at the start of the Easter week.

“I will be there with my dog Alf and will be joined by other volunteers with their dogs too.”

Organisers say the day offers a chance for the community to learn more about the benefits of therapy dogs while supporting a not-for-profit organisation.
