Thief takes golf buggy to McDonalds drive-through in Catterick Garrison

A golf buggy was allegedly stolen and taken through the drive-through at McDonalds in Catterick Garrison last night.

The driver was arrested for theft and driving while unfit through drink.

A police spokesman joked that a “pre-emptive box” technique  was used to avoid a high speed pursuit.

They added: “A few interesting questions for him to answer in interview when sober.”

Police described it as “the most unusual job of the night”.

Nobody was available at Catterick Golf Club to confirm if the golf buggy belonged to them.
