Thieves steal cakes and cash from Swaledale village

Police have issued CCTV of two people they would like to speak to following a theft near Richmond.

A Yorkshire Ambulance Service charity donation tin containing a large amount of cash was stolen from Keld Resource Centre, in Keld, at about 10am on Thursday, January 18.

Some cakes were also stolen from the community hall cafe.

The men were seen getting into a silver Volkswagen Golf, registration unknown, after the theft.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the people in the image as they believe that they will have information that will help the investigation.”

  1. Why not release a picture where we can actually see the grey lad’s face? The back of his hooded head is a little bit tricky to identify. I mean, his friends probably know him from the lovely tracksuit he is wearing, but his face might be more helpful?
