The thieves broke in through the roof of two units belonging to the charity.

Once inside they damaged internal doors and stole a safe containing petty cash and keys to their vehicles.

They also took gardening equipment including strimmers and leaf blowers.

The charity works with adult with disabilities to achieve their potential by doing work in the community.

Manager Steve Biggs said they were devastated by the incident which he estimated would cost £10,000 to remedy.

Steve said the charity’s work would continue but they would be limited in what they could do until the tools were replaced.

Anyone who has spare strimmers and blowers the team could use should get in touch with Steve at http://just-the-job.org.uk/

Anyone with information on the theft should call North Yorkshire Police on 1o1.

Let’s hope the tools can be replaced soon.
