Police are investigating a burglary at Clervaux Garden School near Croft-on-Tees.

The incident took place over the weekend.

Officers say many items were taken including two generators, a Dewalt drill, wheel barrow, petrol combi machine, Stihl strimmer and harness.

The 100-acre school, run by Ruskin Mill Trust, helps young people aged ten to 19 years with complex social, emotional, behavioural, learning differences and other disabilities to flourish and thrive in modern society.

A spokesperson for Richmondshire neighbourhood team said: “Please make these items too hot to handle.

“the children and adults are extremely hurt by what has happened and this is a huge loss to the school.”
