Police have appealed for information after thieves tried to steal several horses.
The incident happened at a property in Gayles Lane, near Ravensworth, on Monday night or early this morning.
A spokesperson for Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team said: “Thankfully, on this occasion would-be thieves were unsuccessful.
“Police patrols have been increased in the area.”
