Three people arrested after drugs raids in Colburn

Three people were arrested after police raided a number of properties in the Colburn area yesterday.

Officers from the Garrison Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a number of search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Neighbourhood officers were supported with additional resources from the Force Op Expedite Team, the Operational Support Unit, two drugs dogs, as well as officers from the County Investigation hub.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:  “As a result of the warrants, three people were arrested and taken into custody whilst enquiries continue.

“A quantity of controlled drugs and cash was seized.

“Our thanks go to the local residents with whose help we will continue to work to keep our community safe.
