Tickets have gone on sale for Sleeping Beauty — Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society’s 24th annual pantomime.

There will be four performances all together with three evening shows on February 22, 23 and 24  at 7:30pm, as well as a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday, February 24.

Co-directing team, Rebecca Harker and Adam Wallis said: “This year we decided on Sleeping Beauty.

“DADS performed this panto many years ago, and we decided it was time to re-visit it.

“We have found a fabulous script by the brilliant Alex Jackson, who allows us to amend the script to include our own little edits, which we love being able to do.

“This year’s show will have you laughing, yawning, and singing in equal measure. Come along to see the story of Sleeping Beauty.”

The pantomime tells the tale of Princess Aurora, a child born to inherit the throne of the Kingdom of Slumberville.

Skipping peacefully through her childhood, playing with her cousin Princess Avarice and friend Prince Arthur, she is raised by her Nanny, Nora Nightnurse and Nora’s son, the loveable Muddles.

At her 21st birthday party, Princess Aurora is presented with many gifts by the local Archbishop, but be careful Aurora!

Your Aunt Carabosse has sent you an evil present as part of her plans to steal the crown. Will the Fairy Godmothers be able to help Aurora back from Dreamland to take her rightful place on the throne?

Tickets are available online at, and in person at Dalton & Gayles Village Hall, on Sunday, January 14 between 10am and 11am.
