A fashion show in aid of a local hospice charity will take place in Richmond tonight (Friday) and there are still a few tickets remaining.

The show, at Richmondshire Cricket Club, is being held to raise money for Herriot Hospice Homecare. Also benefiting will be the Diocese of Middlesbrough Lourdes Fund.

Clothes donated by people visiting Herriot’s charity shop in Richmond will be worn by ‘catwalk’ models, with three themes – casual clothing, evening wear and special occasions, e.g. wedding dresses.

The clothes, for men, women and children, will then be available to buy at the end of the evening.

As well as the fashion show, there will also be stalls and a raffle with prizes which include ten swims at Richmond Leisure Centre and a free massage.

Paula Moore, assistant fundraiser at Herriot Hospice Homecare, said: “Tickets have been selling well but we still have some remaining so if people want to pay on the door on the night, we would love to see them.

“It promises to be an entertaining evening of fashion and fun and the money raised will go towards the services we provide in Richmondshire.”

Tickets are just £5 and available on the door on the evening, or in advance from the Herriot Hospice Homecare shop in Finkle Street, Sue Rees on 07974 404702, or Herriot’s head office on 01609 777413.
