Tickets are selling quickly for the return of outdoor live music in Richmond later this month.
Richmondshire Rocks will take place on Sunday, May 24 at Richmondshire Cricket Club, bringing a full afternoon and evening of live performances to the town.
The event will be headlined by Dan Donnelly of The Levellers, alongside a line-up that includes Hayley McKay, Richmond group Ceiling Demons, as well as Rosey PM and Zarahruth. Organisers say more acts are still to be announced.
Music will run from 3pm until around 9pm, with food and drink available on site including a hog roast and outdoor bar. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, with free entry for under-14s, and are available online.
Event promoter Niall Hickman said early demand had been strong.
“We have been delighted with the response so far as ticket sales have been excellent. It just goes to show how much Richmond Live has been missed,” he said.
“Please come along to support this event as all proceeds go towards running the cricket club, which fields numerous adult and children’s teams every week of the season.
“Our aim is to make Richmondshire Rocks bigger and better every year, so we would welcome any feedback on the day.”
The event marks a return of large-scale live music in the town, with organisers hoping to build it into a regular fixture in the local calendar.
