Staff at Wensleydale Railway have appealed for formation after a break-in at the weekend.
A large number of specialist track repair tools and other equipment was stolen from a storage container at Leyburn.
A spokesperson for the heritage line said: “This is the last thing that we need, especially after all the hard work that our infrastructure teams have done this year to keep our wonderful railway operating.”
