Tunstall villagers open gardens to public

Pictured are villagers Paul Greenwood, Ken Walsh, Jacqui Rushmer, Dave Parry and Ann Dewhurst with their planted boots or ready to perform at the concert.

The villagers of Tunstall have been busy making their gardens look extra special to welcome visitors to their annual open gardens weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23.

This year there is a ‘boot trail’ featuring planted and decorated boots for visitors to see as they walk around the village.

This story continues after the adverts:

Holy Trinity church will be open and decorated with flowers, on a theme of ‘All things bright and bootiful’ and visitors can see the TIGER community garden project in progress.

The gardens are open from 12 noon until 5pm each day. Entrance is £4. Refreshments and delicious homemade cakes will be available.

On the Saturday evening there will be a music concert and barbecue at the Village Hall starting at 7pm. Entrance is by donation.

All proceeds are for Tunstall Village Hall.
