Two people have been arrested following the theft of a motorbike in Catterick Garrison.
The YBR125 motorbike was stolen from outside Tesco on May 2.
Police say two men from the West Yorkshire area have been arrested in connection with the theft.
A van thought to have been used in the incident has also been recovered.
Inspector Martin Metcalfe, from Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team, said: “This is still an ongoing investigation, so I cannot really go into the finer details at this time, but the theft involved males in a white van from West Yorkshire and at the time, we had very little evidence to go on.
“However, thanks to the hard work and many hours of enquiries conducted by my team and CCTV Operators at Catterick Garrison, they led us to a location in West Yorkshire and we are well on the way to securing a result in respect of this crime.”
