Two district council offices close

Restrictions are in place at Richmondshire District Council's office at Mercury House.

Two of Richmondshire District Council’s area offices are now closed for business.

The offices in Leyburn and Colburn are both closed until further notice.

And there are restrictions in place for visits to the offices in Richmond, Reeth and Hawes – to safeguard both customers and officers from the threat of coronavirus.

The council remains open for business by telephone or through its website but face to face access to council officers the offices in Richmond, Reeth and Hawes is by appointment only, and only if the assistance cannot be provided by phone or through the website.

Any customers wishing to make cash payments should visit the Mercury House office in Richmond where the cash payments machine is located.

But customers are urged to make payments over the phone or by electronic means.

Collection of new purple sacks will be possible by appointment from the council’s offices at Mercury House, Hudson House in Reeth and the Upper Wensleydale Community Office in Hawes.
