A dog which ran off following a road traffic collision on Longwood Bank, between Richmond and Catterick Garrison, has now been found safe.
The dog had been last seen running in the direction of Richmond Station after the incident, which occurred at on Monday.
Police had appealed to local residents for help in locating the animal.
Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle collision, where one male driver was out of the vehicle on the arrival of Richmond firefighters.
The motorist was treated at the scene with general first aid by fire and rescue crews until paramedics arrived. The incident was then left in the care of police.
