Concerts in Reeth Memorial Hall continue on Friday, October 10, with the welcome return of Urban Folk Quartet with their unique, cross-genre, contemporary take on folk music, rooted in Celtic tune forms and traditional song, influenced by Afrobeat, Indian classical, funk and rock.
Featuring Joe Broughton on fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, Paloma Trigás on fiddle and vocals, Tom Chapman on cajón, percussion, and vocals and Dan Walsh on banjo, guitar, and vocals, UFQ’s show is a multi-instrumental spectacle of high-energy virtuosity.
Touring with their newly released and much anticipated seventh album, True Story, expect a groove-filled set of acoustic music, presented with infectious energy and humour.
Tickets are £18 in advance (£20 on the door) and under 16s are half price; on sale at Reeth Post Office or contact Glen Steward 01748-884989, email: memorialhall@swaledale.org Proceeds are in aid of hall funds.
