A Valentines craft day will take place this Saturday in Catterick Garrison.
The event will take place at Bramble Woods, off Wavell Road, across the road in Wavell Pavilion if the weather is bad.
Bramble Woods is a community site consisting of 3.5 acres of woodland, flower meadow, pond and allotment site which is managed by e50K.
Families will be invited to decorate a plant pot and mix up a bulb lasagne to take home and look after.
Volunteers will also be hosting their own nature inspired craft stations.
Community group NeuroDiverse Catterick will also attend to host a sensory craft table.
A spokesperson for e50K said: “We are committed to breaking down the disparities between civilian and military living.
“We are a group of friendly, military spouses who understand how isolating it can be to move to a new town, with no friends or family close by.”
“We have 3.5 acres of community woodland, meadow, wildlife pond, firepit and allotment, that is free to enjoy all year round, in the heart of Catterick Garrison.
“The events we organise are family, dog and environmentally friendly. We are not limited to defence families; we encourage everyone, from all walks of life to get involved.
“We pride ourselves on being inclusive to all ages, genders, ability, and ethnicity. It is a privilege to be able to share a green pocket of space with an outstanding community that is strong, caring and extremely resilient.”
Tickets for the craft day cost £3 per child and are available here
