The emergency services are at the scene of a serious accident in Wensleydale.
The incident happened on the Straights, between Carperby and Woodhall.
North Yorkshire Police say one vehicle was involved
A car has left the road and crashed into a tree.
The incident was reported at around 2.15pm.
The roads ambulance air ambulance are understood to be attending.
The road is currently blocked.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area to allow emergency services to respond.
