Veterans make table for Catterick Garrison primary school

Members from the Veterans Woodcraft project have made a new table and bench for a Catterick Garrison primary school.

The veterans made the furniture for Le Cateau Primary School.

The Richmond-based group, which delivers woodcraft courses to people battling with mental health issues, were approached to see if they would make a bench and table for the school’s nursery my teaching assistant Mrs Archer.

Headteacher Ian Mottram said: “The children were thrilled with the bench and table they created complete with a skilfully carved school logo and now enjoy their snack and other activities in luxury.”

Mrs Archer said: “It is lovely to have somewhere to bring the children together to sit and chat.”
