VIDEO: The Wensleydale School launches video prospectus

The Wensleydale School and Sixth Form has launched its new website and video prospectus.

Headteacher Julia Polley said the launch marks the end of a very busy 12 months for the Leyburn school.

She added: “When you look back over all that has happened since this time last year, you realise just how much we have to be proud of.

This story continues after the adverts:

“We celebrated some of our strongest sets of GCSE and A-Level results in recent memory, we were praised by Ofsted, competed against the likes of Eton College and a colleague was even named North Yorkshire’s Teacher of the Year.

“As the saying goes success breeds success, so it felt right that we spend some time looking at how we champion and celebrate all that has been achieved so that this momentum continues.”

The school’s new website also features a video prospectus, which includes interviews with staff and students.

Mrs Polley added: “It is so hard to really express the ethos and aspirations of a school in a printed prospectus. That is why we thought we would create a video that better captures who we are, what we stand for and what we are able to offer our students.

“What I think comes across the most is how confident, caring and talented our students are. They really are the strength of the school.”

The launch comes as the school puts the final touches on its plans for its open evening on October 12 at 6pm.

“Have a look at our website, watch the video prospectus and come along to our Open Evening. We would be delighted to show you why we are a school with a strong community and big ambition,” said Mrs Polley.
