More than 150 vintage vehicles visited the district at the weekend as part of the 48th Beamish Run.

The annual event takes places every third Sunday in June with vintage cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles registered before 1950 taking part.

The run begins and finishes at Beamish in County Durham and follows a 150-mile route around County Durham and North Yorkshire with lunch always taken on Bainbridge village green.

On Sunday July 1 The Sunbeam Motorcycle Club is holding The Northern Pioneer Road Test.

Around 50 pre-1915 motorcycles will take part in the 52-mile long route with a lunch stop again in Bainbridge from around 11.30am.

Enthusiasts are invited to go along and view the vehicles and enjoy the barbecue in the village.
