The Wensleydale School has put together a virtual performance after having to cancel its traditional end of year concert due Covid-19.
Students from across the school recorded themselves performing the Cup Song, with the clips edited together by music teacher Joshua Hadfield.
He said: “In more normal times we would host a concert at the end of each term, this provides an opportunity for over 100 students to showcase their achievements in their musical studies at The Wensleydale School & Sixth Form.
“Although this has not been possible for the last two terms, I still wanted to find a way to offer the students the opportunity to perform as a way to bring the students together.
“I decided to create a virtual performance.
“This involved each student recording their own part from home which they sent in and I have edited it all together to form our school performance of The Cup Song.”
The teacher added: “Music plays an important role within our school for many students.
“It brings enjoyment, creates memories, helps students build confidence and provides an opportunity for students across all our year groups to come together and form strong friendships. Through their love for music, and the support they offer each other they develop and strengthen their musical skills.”
