A volunteer police officer has stepped down after 16 years of dedicated service in Richmondshire.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that Special Sergeant Nadine Slattery has retired from the Special Constabulary and her role with the Catterick Cadet Unit.
She joined the force in 2009 and served mainly in Catterick Garrison and Richmond, also supporting policing at events across the county. During her time, she was promoted to Special Sergeant and, in 2019, received the Glenn Goodman Memorial Trophy in recognition of her work.
Colleagues praised her commitment, highlighting the dedication required to balance voluntary policing duties with everyday life, as well as her support for police cadets.
She has been thanked for her service and wished well for the future.
