An appeal has gone out for a volunteer to help at the Friary Hospital in Richmond.
The volunteer would be able to offer two or three hours, a couple of days a week.
They would engage with patients and visitors to provide therapeutic support.
Tasks would include reading to patients, chatting about their past and playing cards or jigsaws.
