Volunteer wanted to help maintain mini-golf course

An appeal has issued for a volunteer to help maintain a charity’s mini-golf course.

Richmondshire Leisure Trust, the charity which manages Richmond Swimming Pool & Liberty Health Club, has an eight-hole crazy golf course near the pool.

The trust is seeking a volunteer to donate a few hours a week to help keep the course in tip top shape.

Austin Gordon, the trust’s general manager, said: “The course was built by volunteers and local donations in 2015 has recently had an overhaul and we are looking for someone that can take care of it.

“The eight holes are a trip through Richmondshire with each hole having a theme relevant to the area, castles, rivers, bridges, three peaks, and cricket of course.

“All proceeds from the course are reinvested back into the Charity providing services.

“The course paid for itself within two months of opening back in 2015 and in the nine years since, tens of thousands of locals and tourists have enjoyed the challenging course.”
