Volunteers have cleared a stretch of bridleway which was covered in stone following the flooding.
Around 60 people took part in the day of action on Saturday to clear the route near Langthwaite.
The work was organised by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and the Dales Bike Centre in Fremington.
One of the volunteers, Fraser Brown, said: “It was amazing how so many hands transformed the place in a day.
“Once all the walling stone had been rescued in to piles ready to rebuild the walls, the machines could come in and put hard core down to fill all the ruts the river had washed out.
“The community spirit was great.”
Another day of action is being planned by Richmond Motor Club on Saturday, August 17.
Anybody who can help should meet in Reeth at 9.30am.
Organisers say volunteers should wear suitable clothing such as boots and gloves.
If you can bring shovels, brushes etc that would be much appreciated.
If you can’t help hands on, but can help with refreshments for workers, please let the club know.
Richmond Motor Club has agreed to donate £7,500 to the fundraising effort launched int he wake of the flooding on July 30.,
