Three volunteers from Richmond & Catterick Group Riding for the Disabled (RDA) collected almost £300 at Catterick Racecourse last week.
The volunteers were in place before the final race at the exits to the course with their collecting buckets.
Jacquie Warner, one of the volunteers, said: “The group is entirely self-funding and relies on donations and fundraising to continue with lessons when we give disabled riders of all ages the opportunity to improve their mental and physical wellbeing while having lots of fun.
“We were extremely grateful to Catterick Races for inviting us to fundraise at one of their fixtures and for us to raise close to £300.
“As it costs nearly £8,000 per year in running costs, we are always looking at ways to raise still more money.”
The charity has recently set up a Just Giving page at https://justgiving.com/rc-rda
