Volunteers from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called out last night to rescue an injured mountain biker.

The team was called to Gunnerside Gill after cyclist came off their bike.

They were treated at the scene by the volunteers before being evacuated to the road for transport to hospital by ambulance.

The team thanked members of a Duke of Edinburgh group who were camping nearby for their help during the rescue for their singing!

It was dark by the time the cyclist was evacuated.
