Volunteer rescuers came to the aid of an injured walker yesterday.
The incident occurred on farmland near East Layton.
Members of Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team (SMRT) were called to help by the ambulance service.
The walker was treated at the scene by paramedics and evacuated to an ambulance by the SMRT team.
