Volunteers wanted for Richmond Christmas Market

Stalls at a previous Christmas Market.

Plans are starting to take shape for this year’s Richmond Christmas Market and more volunteers are wanted to help run the event.

The organising committee has decided to hold a market this year after having to cancel last year due to the pandemic.

The event will be held on Sunday, December 5 from 10am to 4pm.

Organisers hope the event can be the biggest yet with Christmas market stalls, live entertainment and bands, an emergency services display, fairground rides and a visit from Father Christmas.

Catherine Colling, from the organising committee, said: “We are really excited to be bringing the Christmas Market back to Richmond this year.

“After being forced to cancel it last year due to Covid, the committee is determined more than ever to create a really special family friendly event for the whole local community to enjoy.”

Catherine said they would like to hear from anyone interested in helping to to run the event.
