Volunteers work together to ensure colourful Catterick Village

Volunteers have answered a call to help to ensure Catterick Village will look colourful this summer.

An appeal was issued for helpers to distribute flower tubs around the village.

The plea was answered by a number of local residents.

The tubs were prepared by David Fryer.

They are funded by individuals as well as Richmond-based Eyecatching Signs.

The surplus funds are donated to Catterick Village Sports Association (CVSA) to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the pavilion and sports field facilities.

Jason Thompson, CVSA vice chair, who issued the appeal for help, said: “Many thanks to all our helpers who came to the aid of the usual team to assist us in our hour of need in putting out the heavy tubs.”
