Wanted Brompton man Bradley Turnbull arrested

Wanted Brompton-on-Swale man Bradley Turnbull has been arrested.

Police say he was located outside the county.

Repeated appeals have been issued for Turnbull after a warrant was issued by Teesside Crown Court when he failed to appear at court in November.

The defendant was due to stand trial for a charge of robbery.

Confirming the arrest this morning, Inspector Martin Metcalfe, from Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team, said: “Bradley Turnbull that we have been looking for has been arrested and will now have to explain to the judge at Teesside Crown Court why he was so desperate not to appear before them.

“I would like to personally thank everyone for their help in locating Turnbull as the heat clearly got too hot for him in Richmondshire so he left the area, but thankfully we work very closely with other police forces and he was arrested at the weekend.

“I will admit that he did very well evading capture for as long as he did, but now he will face his trial for robbery as this proves that you can run, but you cannot hide forever as will clearly get you one day if we need to.”
