Police in Richmondshire are warning residents about fraudulent calls purporting to be from Thomas Cook.
The callers are offering full refunds.
The caller requests bank card numbers so that money can be refunded.
A police spokesperson said: “The callers are very convincing and confident.
“Please report any suspicious phone calls, even if you haven’t fallen for the fraud.”
You can report to Action Fraud online or by calling 0300 123 2040, and remember that the police number for non-emergency reports is 101.
