Waste collections cancelled due to snow and ice

Richmondshire District Council has cancelled all waste and recycling collections scheduled for today due to the weather.

Weather permitting, household waste not collected yesterday will be collected on Monday.

Those waste collections which were due to take place today will be collected on Tuesday.

  • Langthwaite
  • Arkletown
  • Healaugh
  • Outlying areas in Arkengathdale
  • Reeth
  • Fremington
  • Hurst
  • Marske
  • Marrick
  • Fawcett
  • Caldwell
  • Stanwick
  • Eppleby
  • Carlton
  • Aldbrough st John
  • Pierceridge road area
  • Newsham
  • Dalton
  • Gayles
  • Kirby Hill
  • A66 areas
  • Ravensworth
  • Hartforth

Recycling collections cancelled for today include:

  • Catterick Garrison
  • Colburn

Due to crews returning for waste that they were unable to collect due to the recent bad weather, all recycling collections for Monday and Tuesday have now been cancelled.

The council says they are unable to return for uncollected recycling until residents’ next scheduled collection day.

You are advised to take these items to your nearest recycling centre, or place any excess out in carrier bags on your next scheduled day.
