Wensleydale Railway has announce the return of one of the biggest events in its calendar, the WensleyAle Festival.
The annual festival of beer, cider, gin, music and food was first held at Redmire Station in 2015.
This year it will be held at Leeming Bar Station from Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30.
WensleyAle is organised and run by volunteers with the aim of providing a fun family day out while raising some funds to keep the railway running.
There will be ale, cider, gin, live music, street food and train rides.
There is a prize quiz for the railway’s volunteers and Leeming Bar residents on Friday, October 28 at 7pm.
The festival opens to the general public from midday on Saturday, October 29 and continues on Sunday, October 30.
Entry is free of charge.
Wensleydale Railway is a volunteer-led organisation and the festival organisers would welcome volunteers willing to lend a hand, so if you fancy pulling a pint or two or helping in other ways please feel free to get in touch with the organisers at https://wensleydale-railway.co.uk/contact/
The railway is also seeking sponsors to support the event and is offering complimentary admissions to one of the event days (including train travel along the line) as well as sponsor name/logo on the cask at the bar and your name/logo/website url in the event programme.
They will also add sponsor details to their festival website and promote the business on their social media.
