Wensleydale charity appeals for votes for video

A video by a Wensleydale charity has been nominated for the national Charity Film Awards.

The Jonas Centre is a residential centre comprising of a dozen self-catering log cabins.

The centre also includes a communal barn with various social spaces, peace, quiet and plenty of open space with wonderful views along this most beautiful dale.

Simon Eastwood, director of the centre, said that in 2017 they celebrated 21 years of service in Wensleydale.

They have begun expanding the operation by renewing the accommodation and building additional cabins so that more people can benefit from a stay and enjoy the facilities and environment.

He said a high quality video was needed to shed light on daily work of the centre and help people focus on the core purpose of the centre.

Simon added: “We also wanted to excite viewers about the work and life of the centre in a way that brings about an emotional understanding and support for the work of The Jonas Trust.”

The Charity Film Awards have been created to celebrate the success of film in fundraising, to increase exposure of charity films and to encourage donations for good causes.

The public is being asked to create a shortlist by voting on their favourite video.
